BREAKING NEWS – OUR MOTORHOME TRAVELS CONTINUE!
We have just received some amazing news and are so excited to share it with you all.
After 2 weeks at home with time and space to think about what comes next, we have been in discussion with Laika and are over the moon to announce that we will be keeping Buzz until at least the end of the year.
To say we’re pleased would be an understatement! This time around we’re going to spend a bit of time touring in the UK with ideas to visit Ireland and possibly Germany later in the year. But who knows? As ever, we will not have a firm plan other than to just do what we feel like as and when we feel like it, which is absolutely the true beauty of motorhoming. We don’t need to book ahead, have a fixed itinerary or go on certain dates. We have a few committments during the summer so won’t be able to go away for long stretches but we’ll fit in what we can and just keep our fingers crossed that we have a good summer weather wise.
We’ve already got one trip planned for early July visiting beautiful Betws-Y-Coed, Llangollen and Snowdonia which will involve high hills and white water! After that we’ll pick a few other places in Wales to visit and then make our way back probably taking a couple of weeks in total.
If you have any recommendations for places to visit in the UK over the summer we’d love to hear them, we’re all ears! We really hope you stick with us and joins us as we embark on Chapter 2 and continue living the Laika life that we love so much. Thank you so much to everyone who has followed us on Facebook and Instagram, commented, liked and given us some amazing new ideas for our travels around the UK and Ireland already.
In the meantime we’ve been busy giving Buzz a good spring clean inside, clearing everything out the cupboards and putting everything back in again and stocking up the food cupboard. We’re packing a few of our favourite essentials – peanut butter, marmite, salad cream and tea bags although now we’re in England it won’t be difficult to get those! We ran out of all them in Europe and had to put up with weak, grey tea (disaster) and had to go cold turkey on the other three rather than pay 3 times as much!
We’ve cleared out the garage and re-organised it. With the best will in the world things tend to get in a bit of a mess back there but it’s now all tidy and easy to get to the things we use the most. We’re busy getting a few last things sorted, have a few bits and pieces to buy and hope to be on our way very soon.
Oh, and we had a visit from Karen, Colin and Billy Burstner of Rewind The Gap! They arrived back in the UK for a short time and popped in to see us on their way through. We enjoyed a lovely lunch together and chatted some more about our travels and then waved them off on their way to Cornwall. Hopefully we’ll meet up again in the not too distant future.
